Sandi Nelson has always been involved with education. For 23 years she taught high school science and advanced her own education by attending additional classes at eleven different universities in several states.  Her undergraduate degree is from Mercer University of Atlanta and she holds a Master’s degree from Georgia State University.  She maintains a university position as a research assistant in Gerontology and continues her part-time work at Kennesaw State University.

Ms. Nelson joined Hurley Elder Care Law in 2007 and manages projects on a part-time basis. The experience of working in the area of Gerontology at the university and past experience as a senior citizen tour group leader has greatly helped in her understanding of the needs and motivation of the clients at Hurley Elder Care Law.

The free-time activities of Ms. Nelson include oil painting, race walking and international traveling. Besides belonging to a book club, the YMCA, the Good Life Club and the American Association of University Women, Ms. Nelson volunteers at several performing art venues and has been a group facilitator for church support programs. She has three grown children, six grandchildren, and lives in Vinings.
