As we all know, Alzheimer’s disease and other similar dementias have a devastating effect on both the person with the disease and their families. Every year, more and more funding goes into finding a cure or a solution. Thank you for this interesting and important news. I have suspected that US policymakers could learn from the UK as to how critical person-centered care is for the elderly and especially those with dementia. On another note, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, I recommend The Iron Lady. I felt Meryl Streep did a terrific job in portraying Margaret Thatcher’s struggles with the disease.
Thanks, Dianne! Hope you are doing well.
