History

Hurley Elder Care was founded in 1995 when Miles Hurley, employed at another firm, began contemplating ways he could offer quality legal services while also charging more reasonable fees.

Originally, his new firm was focused on assisting people in the real estate and estate planning practice areas.

In 2003, Miles became interested in how longer lifespans and changes in insurance and medicare were creating additional challenges for the elderly population. He repeatedly encountered stories of the abuse that this group experienced in legal matters. That’s when Hurley Elder Care as it exists today was formed.

From the beginning, Miles Hurley sought to distinguish the firm by providing superior customer service. He saw the importance of making a potentially emotional or awkward process less painful. He believed, and still does, that the answer requires instilling understanding, empathy and dedication in everything the firm does.
