Wednesday, July 28th - 9:00 am - 10:00 am - Central Home Health - Miles Hurley will give a presentation to the staff of Central Home Health on current elder law issues. This is a closed event.

Wednesday, August 11th - 9:30 am - 11:00 am - Crossroads Hospice - Kelley Napier will be giving an in-service to the social workers of Crossroads Hospice on Medicaid. This is a closed event.

Wednesday, August 18th - 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm - Woodstock Nursing and Rehab - Miles Hurley will be speaking about elder care law issues at the PI Meeting. This is a closed event.

Tuesday, August 24th - 8:00 am - 9:00 am - Cobb Hospital - Miles Hurley will provide a CEU in-service to the Cobb Hospital Case Management Department. He will review Advance Directives, Medicaid and Veterans Benefits. This is a private event and not open to the public.

Tuesday, August 24th - 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Arbor Terrace of Decatur - Miles Hurley will be speaking on current elder law issues, including scams.  This is open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided by Arbor Terrace.  Please RSVP to Robin Andrews at (404) 292-5910. 

Thursday, August 26th - 9:00 am - 10:00 am - Emory Adventist Hospital - Miles Hurley will be discussing Senior Scams and Veterans Benefits with the Senior Group. Thursday, August 26th - 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Arbor Terrace of Tucker - Miles Hurley will be speaking to the community on Healthcare Reform and its impact on seniors.  This event is open to the public. Please RSVP to Sharon Ash at 770-925-9170.

Saturday, August 28th - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm - St. Benedict's Episcopal Church - The first annual Final Affairs Fair at St. Benedict's Episcopal Church in Smyrna brings together information, resources, and expertise on important issues of aging.  Michelle Allen will be there to discuss estate planning and other elder law issues. Wednesday, September 1st - 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm - Odyssey Hospice - Miles Hurley will be meeting with the Odyssey Hospice Social Workers to discuss Transferring Assets After Death and the Probate Process. This will include a discussion on wills, trusts, and what happens to a person's stuff after they die. This is a closed event for the Odyssey Social Workers.

Wednesday, September 15th - 11:00 am - 1:30 pm - Presbyterian Village - Miles Hurley and Michelle Allen will be presenting on Ethical Decision Making in Complex Cases as part of a CEU event at Presbyterian Village.  In addition, Danielle Cefalu will be co-presenting with Probate Judge Kelli Wolk on Guardianship and even holding a mock trial.  The event is open to social workers, case managers and discharge planners.  Event is coordinated by Elder Care Marketing Solutions.  For additional information or to sign up for the event, please visit www.ecmarketingsolutions.com.

Thursday, September 23rd - 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm - Arbor Terrace of Crabapple - Michelle Allen, LMSW, will be giving a presentation to the community on Advance Directives and an overview of power of attorney forms and wills.  She will explore the importance of having these documents in place.  Participants will have the opportunity to complete their own Advance Directives.  This event is open to the public. Thursday, September 30th - 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm - Woodstock Nursing and Rehab Center - Miles Hurley will be speaking on the Basics of Elder Law.
